The Criminal Justice & Mental Health Research Center (the Center) has the capabilities to conduct quantitative data analyses that can answer a range of descriptive and complex research questions. In addition, the Center can assist clients and partners with the development of surveys, survey questions, and data metrics that collect the necessary information while also balancing respondent burden and methodological challenges.
Recent quantitative data projects include an analysis of secondary data to assess the health and treatment needs of aging veterans in state prisons (in progress!); and a systematic review of evidence-based programs for adults with mental illness in the criminal legal system. Custom surveys have been developed for multiple projects, to include the June 2022 multidisciplinary research effort Persons Living with Dementia in the Criminal Legal System (americanbar.org).
