Tim Knettler is Retiring and New Executive Director/CEO, Carrie Slatton-Hodges Starts

After a thorough search, NRI’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce Carrie Slatton-Hodges as the next Executive Director/CEO. Carrie started on January 5, 2025. She recently served as a Senior Behavioral Health Program Director for the National Association of Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD). Prior to this role, she served as the Commissioner of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substances Abuse Services. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in psychology and a bachelor’s degree in human resources management.

Tim Knettler, announced his retirement early in 2024 and will stay on until February 1, 2025 to transition with Carrie. Tim stated that “It has been a real privilege to serve as the Executive Director/CEO for 12 years. NRI's Board of Directors have been wonderful to work with and have provided tremendous guidance and expertise over those years. The staff is the best and have been a real inspiration with the work they have done that has made a significant influence for the continuous improvement of public behavioral health. The friendships that have been made will be long lasting as I will continue to view the progress they will make.”
